Music mental health charity Stigma will be launching a new
app this week.
The new app called StigmaGlobal which is set to be launched
on Wednesday 25th March will include interviews with musicians and
videos from exclusive live sessions from artists such as Professor Green and
Example. The main feature of the app is the forum which will create a platform
for people to talk about issues surrounding mental health with one another. And
also for people suffering with mental health issues to have somewhere fun for
them to talk to discuss any problems they may have.
Stigma founder Adjei Amaning has said ‘we are incredibly
excited to launch this app. It will be a fun and unique way for people to talk
mental health and also view exclusive content.'
’
Stigma is an organization that seeks to break down the
stigma surrounding mental illness through music, entertainment and research. Stigma
seeks to reduce peoples’ inhibitions and fear of talking about mental illness. By
staging and promoting music and comedy events, and hosting a variety of music
and entertainment platforms, both ‘live' and online, Stigma will provide a
platform for people to openly talk about mental health.
The app will be available for free through the app store on
Wednesday. I’ve started a thread called ‘Anne’s
Road to Recovery’ where I talk about my journey with my mental health and I’d
love for you to join the discussion with your story!
